Yea, the dangers of executives and some consultants reading Airline
Magazines to get their tech information. I used to subscribe to all of
them because then I knew what idiot questions I was going to be asked in
the next 30 days.

If truly confidential information is passing between email clients, just
put a link into a secure web site for the receiver to retrieve the
message/information. Besides, as Brad pointed out earlier, "pretty good"
is just that.

Just curious ...

If email uses PGP or any encryption how does the receiving mail server
decrypt it.

Maybe all mail servers have this option but that is not my area of
expertise so just asking

Thanks

Don

The only option I may have is if you can find a 3rd party cloud service
to
send emails with that offers PGP with SMTP. Then you most likely would
be
able to use any of the tools I have such as MAILTOOL/MAILTOOL Plus or
maybe
something else (like GETURI).

I'm sure there are some open source options out there as well if you're
up
for that.

Sounds like someone made a decision to take a wrong turn at Albuquerque,
though. :)

Hi,

I'm replying to Brad's last mail, but thank you everyone for the
responses.

I have to say, I'm not in favor of this, but I'm told by our
application
team this is a specific requirement of the ASX (As an Australian living
in
the US, BIG eye roll....). I suspect that may not necessarily be the
case,
and I will have organize a call with them to try and verify. I have
already
expressed misgivings. ASX reporting is a very small part of our
application
environment, so I'd say a big solution like Fortra (Thanks Roger) would
be
more than we want to spend.

Brad,
If you have a too that does this, I may reach out to you privately if
they
insist it is required?

Thanks

I understand that. So you're going to be sharing keys with everyone
you
email? Or is this just for a few instances.

The protection, either way, should be "pretty good." ;)
