I remain skeptical that there is an IBMi problem here. Here's the
big-picture situation.
IT has two mail servers that operate in a series, and they're working on
eliminating one of the two. During their process, they asked me to change
my SMTP relay and then promptly told me to switch it back. The issue is
that IBMi can't send email to external addresses, but internal addresses
work fine. External emails get bounced back saying "RETRIES EXHAUSTED
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CONNECT TO REMOTE HOST domain_name_no_extenstion."
Outlook and .NET windows apps still work fine.
1. Are there SMTP logs on IBMi?
2. Is TRCCNN the best way to do a network trace? That command allows
export to Wireshark format, correct?
