TRCCNN does give Wireshark output. I ran traces and discovered IBMi was
using the wrong mail server, so I called IBM. It turns out that in 6.1
they changed how mail routing worked. Before 6.1, it used the mail router
from the SMTP config. Starting in 6.1, it uses a checklist and goes with
the first value found.
1. Forwarding mailhub domain
2. DNS MX
3. Mail router
I never set a Forwarding mailhub domain, so since 2012 my IBMi has been
using IT's DNS MX mail server. The changes I made recently (at IT's
direction) did nothing since IBMi wasn't using the mail router.
I put the IT approved mail server in for Forwarding mailhub domain and
confirmed I'm using the correct mail server.
Thanks
