Actually, I never got any reply to my queries, until just now.
This is very interesting: if I do an option 8 on startup.sh in WRKLNK on
our V6 box (with a working Tomcat), or on the box of a customer with a
working Tomcat, the CCSID comes back as 819 (ASCII). But on the
"problem" box, it comes up 37 (EBCDIC)!!
That could very well be the cause of the problem.
