I can relate to Rob's stmt of:
" I've been through this with HMC versions. Some changed so drastically that it took awhile to get used to it and find stuff."

I recently upgraded our Power 9 S924 from HMC V9R2M950 to M952 with iFix MH01917 & system firmware 01VL950.092.045 (FW950.30).
A nice concurrent update which went very smoothly. When the HMC was operational and I logged on to it, it was a very different look. Not so bad
that material couldn't be found but different enough to make me stop and take a long look at it and see where things were.

As for the heritage Nav for i, I'm at the mercy of the org I consult at. For now it's pay for extended maint and V7R2.
They have their reasons. I don't use Nav all that much. Mostly for new associates that need EIM single sign-on Kerberos setup.
Every so often for the occasional 1 off I'm asked about.
ACS is really what I use all day.

I'm about to embark on the bi-yearly Group PTF installation. Group PTF SF99713 - HTTP Server for I, level 50 shuts off Nav for i.
I have the instruction set to turn it on as needed. Those cannot be run until the Group PTF is on the partitions.

I'll let you know how that goes. I assume it'll be straight forward per the instruction set.

"Removed"
I must remember to always use complete sentences and never use pronouns.
Let me rephrase by striking 'they' and 'it'.
I don't know if IBM has removed the graphing from the dashboard of the heritage navigator.

But I understand your confusion Jeff as IBM has made it pretty clear that some ptf or another will blast the heritage navigator from your system.
I really do not suggest that those of you still continue to use the heritage navigator until the bitter end. It would be better for you if you started using the new navigator to:
- familiarize yourself
- report any issues you are experiencing before it is the only choice you have. Give IBM time to fix it beforehand and you can use the heritage for that particular function for the day.
- If you find missing function then check rfe's for that missing function and request the function before you lose the heritage navigator.

I've been through this with HMC versions. Some changed so drastically that it took awhile to get used to it and find stuff. But I also knew I had to learn the new stuff because my hardware was long in the tooth and needed replacing so I started learning the new stuff while IBM still had dual mode.
