Kinda busy right now but the former might be just notifying you that some items were not saved because they are flagged by IBM as not to save with CHGATR ALWSAV(*NO). The latter is probably they were busy. There is a difference. You can set up OMIT groups in BRMS to omit directories always busy. Look for QLNKOMT. Then when you really want to save them, like a restricted state full system save, then you use your STRBKUBRM... OMITS(*NO).

Hello all,

I have what seems like a simple question, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere, even in the BRMS manual. What is the difference between a BRMS control group ending "with errors" and a control group "ending abnormally"? I'm fairly certain when one ends "with errors" it just means there were things that couldn't be saved because they were in use. But looking at our logs for both backups I can't really see what happened in one that didn't in the other. Both times there were things that got saved. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
