I went to fix central, proceeded to locate the PTF and did a bit of looking around to see it was 5733OMF.
My first thought was when the IBM notification came out "What is the licensed product for this PTF?"

What was the security bulletin? Do you have a link? Maybe you overlooked it and I want to check.

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/access-ptf-cover-letters
If you search for that PTF and pick the right link (the first link often goes to Fix Central, which isn't the cover letter) you may see:
Licensed Program............... 5733OMF

Maybe I'm just missing something? But this is something that has bugged me for YEARS...

Why does IBM always reference a PTF number without indicating the corresponding product ID??? It's like they assume I know what the product ID's are.

Example:
I just received a security bulletin for a product. For v7r3, and PTF SI78756. Now, I may or may not have the product installed on our box. How do I know? They didn't give me the product ID.

What am I missing?

TIA
