I would just log onto each VIOS and run lspv. This will list the drives and the status of each.

Let's say you have two vios lpars. Each vios lpar is using two disks in the system unit. One disk is a mirror of the other.
Now let's say you have an amber light on D2 on the system unit.
How do you tell what system owns that drive?
I am on the phone with IBM support. They are pretty clueless.
Once you find out which system owns that drive how do you handle this error?
