RE: 5770-WDS – Rational Development Studio for IBM i

When I retired in December it dropped the number of RDi users by 50%. The new guy they hired wants to use it (I installed it for him) but he doesn't really use it. So, now, SEU is ahead 3 to 1 in that shop. Well, 4 to 1 since my former boss is coding too.

That is sad. I did enjoy hearing from them how SEU lights up when they touch my code.

This was the result of our cloud vendor (skytap) not offering 5770WDS as
noted below and instead offering us a per user/per year Rational on the PC
(Eclipse, etc) which we don't use.

Hopefully they will be able to offer us what we need.

5770WDS option 5103 is the application development toolset. Which is PDM, SEU, SDA, etc

We're licensed for 80. Not that there's a snowball's chance ... we'll ever hit that.
