To find file names matching pattern: find . -name "*.sql"
To find file names matching pattern in name and text pattern within: find . -name "*.sql" -exec grep -l 'ABCDE' {} \;
To find file names matching pattern in name and text pattern within using REGEX: find . -name "*.sql" -exec grep -l '.*[a-z]' {} \;

But honestly, if you are not going to make this part of a compiled program, just share a folder and use windows CMD or PowerShell. I did a find over a 100 files or so 1.25 gig and it was faster using Windows than QSHELL.

Subject: Is there an easy way to find a file in the IFS?

Is there an easy way, either from a system command line or a QShell command line, to find a STMF with a given name in the IFS (preferably in a subdirectory of the current directory)? Something analogous to WRKOBJ in the QSYS.LIB file system, or the "find" command in *nix?
