The blah blah stuff is just normal headings and then attachments that are based64'd to be included in the email.
The localhost is just the mail server on the IBM server. If we had a different email server it would be the IP address of that server.
The from and to email addresses are irrelevant as I have changed them both to multiple addresses inside and outside the organization, and the emails don't arrive.
I've now discovered that emails that are being sent from the same software on an entirely different sever (a v5r4 partition) are also never arriving.
So two separate servers, on which no changes have been made (the v5r4 hasn't been changed in a decade), are not able to send emails. I'm starting to think there's something awry on our router or switcher or something.

Thomas Garvey

You blah blah'd over the best part. :)

I would double check your SMTP settings. Are you using the same mail
router your organization uses to send emails, or just sending directly to
internal recipients?

Hi,

We've been using Scott Klement's SMTPSendMail to create and send emails
for years and it just works. Now, however, the emails never show up.
The joblog of the job that creates and sends the emails all show normal
activity and response...

Connection to localhost established
220 S107603P Service ready.
HELO S107603P.UNBEATENPATH
250 ELIJAH.
MAIL FROM:<email@xxxxxxxxxx>
250 OK.
RCPT TO:<tgarvey@xxxxxxxxxx>
250 OK.

blah blah blah

QUIT
221 S107603P Service closing transmission channel.

I've tried different rom and destination emails to no avail. At first, I
thought maybe the latest cume I applied to v7r3 messed something up. But
it's failing on both my servers, the other of which is v5r4 and hasn't
been updated in YEARS.

What could be wrong, or changed? any ideas?
