The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I figured you would do the create view in the same way you would do a CRTLF.
But, I guess you cannot get the index you need then.?
But, couldn't you then use embedded SQL over the view and sort the view as you need?
(I am now bumping up against the limits of my SQL knpwledge)

Hello Paul,

Performance of a view, once created, should not be affected by whether
created from SQL or DDS definitions. (Unless you are creating the
LF/View at execution time?)
It's not about creation. It's about using embedded SQL vs. just opening and reading an already available LF. Sorry, I misread your first reply.
