Hello Rob,

So I figured I could scp from it to an aix server, use filezilla from my pc client to the aix server, then use the VTL's support website to upload the data. So I typed in
scp /ddr/var/core/kernel-20210605-02.07/vmcore.gz root@tsmaix:/tmp/.
With tsmaix being the name of my aix server
Zero setup. Prompted me for the password. Worked like a champ.

Well done!

But beware, sometimes direct root-access is restricted, so you're allowed to log in as ordinary user, but not as root. To ease everyday handling, this can be configured to allow root-login *only* by ssh-key, never by password. Provides additional security against password guessing botnets (as long as port 22 is exposed to the internet).

:wq! PoC
