Can some of you sages refer me to a (step-by-step preferably) procedure
of implementing SFTP / FTPS ?
Hi Gad,
If your intention is to change existing FTP commands then your only
alternative is FTPS as sftp is a completely different animal.
In general I would recommend to use sftp as it is much easier to deal with
over time - once it is setup correctly.

You need to verify with your remote what port they are using - port 22 seems
unlikely fto FTPS as that is the "normal" port for sftp.
