If you already have 1.1.8.x installed, all you really need to do to upgrade is:
#1. find the directory where the "acsbundle.jar" was installed,
#2. open the new zip file you downloaded unzip the "acsbundle.jar" to that same directory, replacing the old copy. (You may want to rename it first, e.g. to "acsbundle-1.1.8.6.jar" ...)
#3. when you launch iACS in the usual way, click on "Help" and then "About" and you should see that you are now using 1.1.8.7.
No muss, no fuss, no Javascript! :D
