how would you enter that into SQL command line to test it? I always forget.

It may only depend on the release and/or Technology Refresh you are on.
The following SQL Statement will calculate the MD5 or an IFS File.
Values(HASH_MD5(Get_Clob_From_File('/home/Dir1/Dir2/YourIFSFile.txt')));

It looks like openssl may be the easiest... then just output the data to a
stream file and read it in?
Wanted to make sure there weren't any SQL functions that may make it
easier
and avoid needing to read in and parse a stream file.
