Also likely, but risky as the row sizes, etc can be clobbered by exceptional data.
We used to use stuff like CPYFRMIMPF but it wasn't granular enough to handle exceptions in a friendly matter. For example, some clod entering in an item number bigger than the column size in the target file.
It also didn't help that CPYFRMIMPF went through a lot of hassle with each OS upgrade as to how it handled CCSID, etc. And that it was slower than using stuff like the Scott Klement API's for reading IFS.
