you should still apply the latest cume and TR's after putting on a refresh in order to get PTF's for all the stuff outside of LIC.

This may be different than what others are used to but the general reason for a resave is to ensure that you can boot up a new lpar and/or system from media.

Makes perfect sense.

It is NOT so that you can periodically get a whole new set of media with all the latest ptf's applied as of a particular instance in time.


This blurs your „may have“ statement above even more. :-)
