Re: Ascii issue with zipping a file using QSH and JAR

Sometimes you need to use CHGATR and set CCSID of the file before you
use it for anything. I don't know if that is the case here.

I posted an RFE regarding the directory having a default CCSID for new
created file ( and also support for UTF-8 bom codes) to overcome this
problem. Please vote for it :)

QShell does have some assumptions about CCSID, but that should not
affect the JAR command.
