We also back up daily to DD and we don't have problems initializing volumes within STRMNTBRM.

Subject: Can I initialize expired tapes using STRMNTBRM?

All -

We back up to an EMC Data Domain (as a VTL) using BRMS. My director doesn't want to keep unused data on the Data Domain so he wants to initialize the expired tapes. I am currently manually initializing every expired tape. Is there a way to initialize the tapes as STRMNTBRM expires them each day?

Thanks,

Steve McKay
