There are bits and parts that are still used but pretty rare. I would not waste time on it.

SNA was a far superior network than TCP from a security perspective however generating the NCP was not for the faint of heart. I got good at it, but geesh it was painful.

Honestly, I don't see this claimed security advantage here and now.

You generated NCP? For a CC attached to an AS/400?
