Dare I mention just another case of superior technology overcome by what? Simplicity? Speed? Ohter? Shall we speak of OS/2 vs. Windows? Token Ring vs. Ethernet?

But I digress - as so often I do!

99% of SNA is no longer supported including anynet. There are bits and

SNA was a far superior network than TCP from a security perspective however
generating the NCP was not for the faint of heart. I got good at it, but
geesh it was painful.

Hello,

I want to learn about securing systems networked via SNA (be it 802.2/5
DLC or EE). One example: Machine a can run SAVRST against machine b, and
the started job on b (also) runs as QSYSOPR! In which of the countless IBM
manuals should I take a look to learn about the important knobs and
switches?

What's available online mostly deals with TCP/IP. As most often, my
background is V4R5 and old machinery.

Thanks!
