Thanks for those recommended links and suggested procedures.
I was able to move the contents of two of the virtual drives onto the
other two and then delete the empty drives. This allowed me to remove
those two network storage spaces from our host server and get 200 GB of
disk back.
I did not try any further to reduce the size of the remaining virtual
drives, mostly due to the prohibitions found in those links you sent. It
wasn't worth the extra 30 GB I may have gotten back. I'm leaving the
v7r1 hosted partition with just two virtual drives for now.
We use that partition for so little that throughput is not an issue.
