As a National Guardsman in a data processing unit , our warrior weekends were devoted to x-punching Col80 in boxes of cards. Then, as used cards they could be disposed of, which the sergeants did.  They sold the "used" cards at $2/box and bought the beer for NCO club for the next drill.
