Hi Don!  It takes up just the middle. It's a little easier for me to say it this way: on my 1920x1080 screen, the maximum area taken up by the 5250 display (including the status line at the bottom) is about 1060x740.  So yes, a very large black border area all around it.  But then again, it's exactly the same way on my desktop with a 24" monitor: if I maximize the window, much of it is black border (the area actually used is the same 1060x740).

I made the change from 125% to 100% and the 5250 sessions were much
smaller ?

What I mean is on my Lenovo T570 I have about 75mm (3.0 inches) or black
space on each side and if I set to 100% this is more like 100mm (4.0
inches) or more
