HI Booth
This looks,similar to what Joe Pluta suggested
The field exit key will still clear it, and I know a number of users, use field exit key to tab
However, I will give it another shot and see what happens

Subject: Re: [EXTERNAL] Re: Tabbing to a DDS output field

I just re-checked to be sure I was right. hmmm... I was not right.

Users can arrow to the field, and mouse to it, but not tab to it.

So I went and looked at Popup Calendar
<http://www.martinvt.com/Code_Samples/Pop-up_Calendar/pop-up_calendar.html>

and found this:

**

*... *

**

DAY02 2I B 4 4
DAY03 2I B 4 7
DAY04 2I B 4 10

...

which is the i in column 35, which was mentioned earlier;**
**

* "*Inhibit keyboard entry (I)
<http://127.0.0.1:57445/help/topic/com.ibm.etools.iseries.langref2.doc/rzakc/rzakcinhibitkey.htm>*
A field with this keyboard shift attribute does not accept data typed in
from the keyboard, and an error is issued if you press any keys."*

With that, you can tab, arrow, or mouse to the field(s).

HI Booth
Already Tried That
Doesn't do what I want to do
I need to prompt this field to do something, but it's output only so the user is unable to tab there
That is,what I want, the ability to tab to that field, but in such a fashion that will not allow that field to be changed
