One way is to store the opened field values in a Hidden field as well as the Displayed field. The always restore the Hidden field to the Displayed field. But even if the value is changed on the screen but you don't use that value to "update" the file what would it matter if they changed it on the screen?

Subject: Tabbing to a DDS output field

Hi everyone
Before I forget - we are on V7r3

I have an existing DDS screen, that has a number of fields being displayed - output
I have the need to be able to tab to one or 2 of those fields - so unless someone knows of another way - I will need to make those fields output or both (input and output) but if I do make that change, I don't want the user to have the ability to update those fields
I hope that makes SOME sense
Anyone know how I can accomplish this?
As always - ALL answers gratefully accepted
