Agree.

This is a critical issue when sending/receiving files to/from the IFS.

Same issue applies to the partner you are sending to. Many partners have pgms that monitor folders and grab files when they see them.

It is necessary to deploy a solution as noted below:

1. xfer to a "temp" folder and rename/move the file when complete
or
2. xfer to a alternate label (as noted below) and rename/move the file when complete
or
3. xfer as a hidden file (file label starts with a dot) and rename/move the file when complete

No, the file will show in the IFS after the first byte has been received...

commonly accepted practice...send the file with a different name (or
extension) and rename it after transfer is complete...

Other option, send a flag file after transmission of the primary is done...
