The new/latest ACS (Access Client Solutions) has an output option directly
to EXCEL.
1) Open a blank EXCEL worksheet.
2) From IBM I
3) File name: type or browse to your file
4) Data option - change only if needed
5) Output device - change to Active Excel Spreadsheet
6) Format option - change only if needed
7) Start transfer
Also has the vica-versa option.
1) Open your EXCEL
2) Input device - change to Active Excel Spreadsheet
3) Library/file member - type or browse to
4) Details - change only if needed
5) Start transfer

Subject: DB2 files to excel files (and vice-versa)
Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend a tool that outputs direct to excel. I'm thinking of
an equivalent of CPYTOIMPF but direct as .xls / .xlsx rather than .csv
I am also interested in the converse operation - think CPYFRMIMPF but from
.xls / .xlsx rather than .csv
I know there are many tools out there but I'm not aware of all of them and
some are astonishingly expensive
NB - This is not about converting spool files to excel - we are talking
physical files
Many Thanks
Chris Chambers
