Here is an article on SQL2XLS. It does the DB2 to XLS that you're interested in. We've modified it quite a bit for our own uses, and to generate newer .xlsx format.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend a tool that outputs direct to excel. I'm thinking of an equivalent of CPYTOIMPF but direct as .xls / .xlsx rather than .csv

I am also interested in the converse operation - think CPYFRMIMPF but from .xls / .xlsx rather than .csv

I know there are many tools out there but I'm not aware of all of them and some are astonishingly expensive

NB - This is not about converting spool files to excel - we are talking physical files
