I hear you. Without fail i have an RPG process that needs some new functionality. Someone says "use Python". That's great but I always wondered how did i get Python and RPG to work together?
The UNIXCMD method i posted earlier looks promising, but it hasn't had a "trial by fire". Using a PF to communicate would work a lot like a keyed data queue i guess. You'd pass a unique key into Python, Python would write the key to the PF with the data, and then you'd read that key from the PF.

Not getting on your case Jack but I see so much "Oh it is easy in Python" - but nobody ever shows how in a meaningful manner for an RPGer.
