When saving a single object to show that SWA does, in fact, skip objects I
don't think that SAVACT(*SYSDFN) SAVACTWAIT(10) is anything to fear. A
longer time would not help as the process holding that lock only ends in
restricted state. And, since it is a single object I really don't need it
to be in sync with anything else.

We don't use Mimix anymore. We dropped them when they decided they no
longer need to participate with IBM's early ship program and can wait
months and months after a new release of the OS comes out before they
support it. We don't put up with crap. I believe they told me not only
would it be months until they supported base 7.3 but the UOM before they
supported temporal tables was going to have to be bigger than months. They
changed that tune when people started leaving them in droves. Remember
all the HA ad's with "we support temporal tables"?

We do not use a SAN with any of our Power equipment.
