Usually the directives don't interfere with each other. I haven't mixed anything on the IBM i version of Apache, but on my linux boxes I have one server serving php, perl, and python scripts. Python is configured to use CGI, and php and perl are using their respective MOD_ interfaces. No real issues that I can recall. In my never-ending list of things to do, I want to rewrite all the perl stuff to be python, and split it out to it's own server. The php is used for an actual web site/application. The perl and python stuff is all helper scripts to convert and parse data, clean up folders, and extract some things from multiple mysql databases and summarize them.

When I did a PHP proof of concept, i used one of my test Apache servers that i use for testing my production CGI apps. I also used it as a proxy when i was testing some Node and Python.

Yes - same Apache server instance.

And Paul doesn't hang around here. If I come up with a copy I'll let you know.
