Ugh... You're describing my week. We're interviewing for a contract position again and the quality is so depressing.

Examples: Converting a MDY display date to CYMD with a mix of %int(), %char() and %subst(). Code with /free directives included, indentation that is atrocious. Redisplay a screen (yes, our ERP is green screen) in the middle of a select construct.

Not one has taken the opportunity to do **free or to use RDi in the testing process. Not a single one...
