Try the 10 to 2 window during the shift change on the other side of the
pond. It's refreshing.

In other news, the town in which I live just hired a new trash hauler
because the mayor got fed up with trying to get her trash pickup issue
resolved by that big green company. That big green company has 3 people left
in the US doing programming.

In general I rarely call support without first entering the problem on
line. Irregardless of nationality all have been known to take very little
notes of my original laying out of the problem. So I enter the ticket
online, complete with attachments. Even a sev 1 ticket. Then if it's
urgent I call. If I'm calling them I offer them a little time to read the
notes, while I'm on the line. If they're calling me and I start getting
stupid questions to items I've already recorded I offer to read the ticket
to them.
