Rob,

The FLRT may be incorrect.
From the link you provided.

March 2018 - IBM i 7.3 Technology Refresh 4 and IBM i 7.2 Technology Refresh 8

Scale-out Power Systems with POWER9 Technology
Both IBM i 7.3 Technology Refresh 4 and IBM i 7.2 Technology Refresh 8 have the necessary licensed internal code to support several new models of Power Systems servers with POWER9 technology, taking advantage of the improved resiliency, availability, and scalability characteristics.

Note that for POWER9 compatibility mode, the absolute minimum memory required to IPL an IBM i partition is 1 GB for all IBM i releases. However, the recommended minimum for an IBM i partition is at least 2 GB.

Both those links were exactly alike.

So the FLRT says that IBM i 7.3 with TR2 is perfectly fine for Power 9.

This seems to conflict with

Am I missing something here or is the FLRT right and TR2 is perfectly
fine?
