I'd change that to "may cause you errors". I don't recommend it, but we've had OMG long share names in Windows since Win2003. I can't connect to them, so the admin has to make duplicate shares with shorter names. I've never had any other issues with this.

We also keep users passwords in sync. If I change my password in Windows it automatically changes the IBM i password to match. Including case.
