My like finding parts for my 1993 Toyota Previa (now gone, alas!) trying to find a replacement HDD for my aging Bladecenter S is getting to be a challenge.  I thought just making sure I had the correct FRU would be all I needed....not so.  Although my failed drive lives in a Bladecenter S Storage Module, it is connected to my JS12 Blade which is a wee bit more persnickety about what it connects to.

The drive is IBM FRU 43W7526.  It is a Seagate drive model ST3146855SS. The kicker is that it is a pSeries labeled drive, not xSeries, and I think that is significant.  My usual "used parts" provider came up dry and even the good Dr. Franken, with his ever growing flotsam of IBM i parts, was unable to find one.  So, I wonder if the community might point me to a helpful source of hard drives for IBM i.  I already purchased, and returned, a couple from Hard Drives Direct.  Midland Info Systems also came up dry.  The combination of the correct FRU, part number and pSeries designation is critical so I created a side by side image of the two drives, one that was in the BCS and needs replacement and the xSeries one I purchased and returned because it didn't work.

You'll find a PDF (which you will need to rotate 90%) here: http://petesworkshop.com/downloads/BCS_HDD.pdf ; If you are a vendor AND have the exact match, feel free to contact me off list.  I'd like to get this drive replaced because it probably won't be long before the mirror goes as well...

Thanks
