Agreed. If PTFs of this type were included in HIPERs that download would be
many DVDs worth.

Look for them to be put into the appropriate group. Most of those groups
are updated quarterly, with some not quite that fast if there is not enough
activity to warrant a new version of the group.

Subject: Re: V7R3 Important / Critial PTFs not part of any CUM and/or group

First these guys are about 1 month old so only enough time to possible make
one HIPER even if they qualified.

Second I think it depends on the definition of important / critical and
HIPER to make that call.

Understand that these PTFs do not affect the system or TCP/IP or disk
support or the database or the web servers or currently operating code.
In other words their absence has zero affect on the operation of your server
or your business. So at least in my view they do not meet the definition of
HI (High Impact) or PER (PERvasive).

Sure they muck up your compiles and for your team that's an issue.
Fortunately is easily resolved with these PTFs which are able to be applied
immediately.

But that's the view from my chair.

Turns out the four PTFs below were released to fix issues related to RPLE
compiler and TR4.
Nothing from IBM about these PTFs.

SI67185 This PTF provides the *CURRENT compiler support for the
DATA-INTO opcode
SI67187 This PTF provides the runtime support for the DATA-INTO opcode
SI63445 This PTF provides the *PRV compiler support for the DATA-INTO
opcode
SI67183 This PTF provides the copy file you will need to write your own
parser. It also provides some sample parsers. See the "Files in library
QOAR" section below for details.

Luckily, they all could be applied immediately, no IPL needed.
I'm running into this often.
Why aren't PTFs like these included in the bi-weekly hyper group, SF99729?

Thank You
