Been there.
Now there is some serious clean up to do since VIOS is part AIX and part
VIOS. You'll need to figure out what file sets did get updated and which
ones did not. Fortunately that's not the hard part. The hard part is you
can't roll back easily, and you can't move forward either.
The best thing to do is get a PMR open so that in about a week they will
give you the answer you need and package up the files you'll need to
complete the installation.

What I really love is running a vios upgrade for almost an hour using the
putty->hmc->vtmenu->vios and have your ethernet card in your PC
