Tim,

<While we announce many things as part of TR, RPG Compiler, Web Middleware, Database, IFS, and many other features in other areas, none of these updates are delivered via the TR PTF Group.

From the TR4 announcement link
Full details can be found at RPG Cafe Forum once the PTFs have been made available.

This is now very misleading and confusing.
If announced as part of a TR (TR4 in this case) yet the code is not included/delivered as part of TR4,
How is one to know where, when, how to identify and download the necessary PTFs for these enhancements?

1) is a new group, Compilers and Editors, needed as Larry suggests?
2) Are there other options?

Subject: RE: V7R3 Important / Critial PTFs not part of any CUM and/or group

Greetings, Just to clarify , Jon is correct the RPG compiler PTFs are
not part of the TR group. Actually. the only things that are actually part
of the TR group are normally the low level updated required for supporting
new hardware that is delivered specifically for a TR Group. While we
announce many things as part of TR, RPG Compiler, Web Middleware,
Database, IFS, and many other features in other areas, none of these
updates are delivered via the TR PTF Group. Nor are they delivered as part
of the cum, at least initially, as the cum is based on number of downloads
or its its been specifically marked. Most of the content that is announced
in a TR Announcement has its own specific delivery method. Often its a
separate PTF Group. (HTTP PTF Group. or the Database Group for example)

We do make every effort to list how a function is delivered or where the
information can be found.

Hope that helps.

Tim
