I have not yet met an SSH in the browser I didn't hate.
PUTTY I LOVE.
I have found that even customers that don't let me install apps I can still use Putty because it does not require installation. You can go to the download site and click to download then instead of save just run.

I have at other customers left putty.exe in my /home directory on IBM i then map a drive and run it from there. If you have the authority you can also export your putty keys to a file there. Double clicking that it installs those keys so that when you run putty all the connections and properties are there. Awesome! Even if it all goes away when you close the desktop it's so simple to do it's worth it.

Here's the one drawback to 'ssh into the HMC.':
Normally this involves loading up a putty client. No big deal for most of
us, especially those in the systems admin class of people who need to do
this stuff. However, I have this coworker... He's more of a systems
analyst with some development. He helps me out during downtimes. Covers
a shift or so. (My instructions are extremely detailed.) This coworker
uses a virtual desktop instead of his own PC or laptop. The VDI group he
is in does not come with a putty client. This is where getting to it with
a web browser helps.

Now, if there's a standard client which comes with Windows 10 instead of
having to download a putty client, I'm all ears.

The paperwork with getting a new VDI group just so this guy can have a
putty client is to the point that I want to work with them if I could
instead of just bulling my way.
