Initially I did a google search on
how to call rpg as a stored procedure
and got a few results.

Then there are the infrastructure concerns like:
See the commands WRKRDBDIRE, ADDRDBDIRE, DSPSVRAUTE, ADDSVRAUTE and any
system stuff needed to be changed to facilitate them. The latter two may
help you avoid coding user id's and passwords.
Whether or not RPG changed significantly between 6.1 and 7.2 to facilitate
using RPG to return values as a stored procedure. Something there is
tickling my memory.
