× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I use the utility on other user's jobs, and I don't have *SECADM. I do have *SERVICE, which I know is required to debug other user's jobs.

I haven't tested the API, but I interpret the documentation in the IBM i Knowledge center to mean that you have to invoke an API to swap user profiles of your Job, if you're not the same user as the Job that you want to interrupt. And my understanding is that user-profile swapping takes more than *JOBCTL.

Again, that's just my interpretation, without testing.
