I decided to try a different Windows tape this morning, just for fun.

This one initialized! And I was able to save a file to it and display it.
The INZTAP took almost 30 minutes, even though I said CLEAR(*NO). A
subsequent INZTAP (after the save and display) took just seconds.

So maybe the first tape I was using was just a bad tape . . .

Got 8 more to try.
