I'm happy to report that initial tests are positive. The issue I was able to consistently replicate on my Win7 PC is gone. I'm going to leave SMB2 on and conduct a blind test tomorrow to see if any issues or user complaints arise.

You'll have to forgive my skepticism. Two months ago IBM was adamant it wasn't their problem and they weren't going to do anything to fix it.

I just pulled down the latest groups and all NetServer recommended fixes. I'll retest it when I can.

I had the same thing from IBM, blaming Windows. They're past that. It works now, with current fixes.
