The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

There may be something to that.
Normally you leave the default to *FILE.
However, if you do leave it at the default of *FILE, and since it is a
program described file, it should have defaulted to the job CCSID. Since
his system value QCCSID is set to 37 his job CCSID is probably set to 37
anyway. A DSPJOB can verify that. As that can be overridden with CHGJOB,
CHGJOBD, etc.
So I am not sure it would have made a difference.
