Me like green screen. But coding web apps is amusing. When will managers
understand that computers exist primarily so we can have toys?

In another post I mentioned exactly that, and in fact offered a link to a
web page demonstrating exactly your suggestion of a web page. As I said,
in my opinion this does not have to be an either/or decision. Finding a
transition that actually works is, to my mind, a big improvement to these
90-day switch-overs that go on with errors and disasters for the next ten
years and longer.

The iSeries gives us a pathway that works. It does not have to be a clash
of titans, egos, and budgets.

For instance, I am convinced the future of automobiles is with self-drive
cars. Does that mean we have to all switch over by Labor Day? Of course
not. As to green screen v. web interface? Face it, the day of the desktop
computer is setting. Its already old technology.

Hi Booth

If you have decided the Green Screen interface is a problem, then any
further investment in development of that interface takes away money from
the alternative.
The biggest issue for me is that presenting a browser interface to
management allows the development team to possibly retain control of their
destiny.
Presenting a green screen with scroll bars is more likely to seal their
fate.
