My thought is this:
- Most of the people have already covered the things you need to read and
do with each release. I'll just add pay attention to SMB2. The issues
there are in the suggested reading material.
- You're at 7.1. Evidently upgrading OS takes an act of God. If there is
that much involved you might as well go to 7.3.
- 7.3 has been out long enough to go through 3 cumes, TR's, resaves. It's
not "wet behind the ears".
- Everybody and their brother is jumping off of 7.1 with EOL rapidly
approaching. Therefore even more people have upgraded, therefore even
more people giving it a good shakedown.

And I have to find it hard not to snicker at the thought of staying behind
on levels and PTFs because of the extensive testing involved. Do you
suppose everyone bought that as an acceptable excuse when Equifax was
behind on fixes making them susceptible to the breach they suffered?
