Its more flexible to install on a server share. that way you have only one instance to upgrade.

There is an option for caching a local copy of the jar file.

I recall this in earlier versions:


# Setting the property com.ibm.iaccess.DataCache=true will reduce working set size
# and will significantly reduce startup times when the product jar file is remote
# (e.g network share).
# com.ibm.iaccess.DataCache=true

It's on a windows server. It's where our Documents drive gets mapped so it's always backed up.

Do most install on their C drive?

Where does the ACS package live? If on the IFS, can you try another install location?

We're on v7r3 and ACS 1.1.7.2

Slow startup - about 45 seconds for the first emulator to get to the login
screen. Much quicker with subsequent - as quick as 10 seconds. Is this
typical? What might be slowing it down so much?
